Rural Health Hub (RHH) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit spin off from the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) aimed to bring a sustainable community engagement effort to rural NC.
RHH has committed and trusted relationships with the community. It serves as a health management partner to rural and underserved North Carolinians to achieve health equity.
RHH leverages the extensive work done by the North Carolina Central University researchers in rural communities and partnerships with health departments, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), free and charitable clinics and community based organizations.
Physical Presence in Community : A newly established 5,000-square-foot facility in Enfield, NC, serving as a hub for our rural operations, community health programs, and outreach activities in Halifax County and beyond.
We utilize the principles of implementation science bringing evidence -based interventions to the communities for better health outcomes. We forge meaningful partnerships and engagement with people and organizations who care. From health education, health fairs, screenings to behavioral health and counselling, we provide the resources and support necessary to help individuals achieve their health goals.
Our team has been offering community programming in 17 North Carolina counties serving communities and assisting researchers in community-based
participatory research (CBPR)
Through our partnership with NCCU, we leverage mobile health units to meet communities where they are and offer a range of health promotion programs focused on health education, vaccination, health screenings etc. We have two ADA compliant mobile health units, equipped with an exam room, phlebotomy station, cold storage for carrying supplies and telehealth capabilities.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve. We can develop structured programs for students and individuals for community service hours.
